Simon Legrand
I build technology platforms that outlast the organisations that fund them, from solar surveillance across Kazakhstan with Chevron, to NHS preventative care for two million overlooked older adults.
Built for complexity.
Fluent across disciplines.
I started in front-line public sector work, supporting young people, shaping health policy, securing £9m in government funding, then co-founded Sunstone Systems and spent thirteen years turning sensor hardware and solar infrastructure into a globally recognised platform. Two patents became three. Chevron and Rivian became clients. The platform became a framework for thinking about how physical systems and software compound over time.
Now I apply that same compounding logic to two problems worth solving: Assistiv Systems, a preventative care platform for the UK's two million older adults who fall between independence and formal care eligibility; and Fyrfly Systems, bringing Martyn's Law-ready intelligent security to schools and public sector buildings that legacy installers have chronically underserved.
Preventative care platform for older adults in the UK's "Missing Middle." Population health scoring across 21 NHS signals, district-level prescribing data, live data pipelines, and a carer hotspot tool. Clinical advisory board includes ASCOT creator Prof. Ann Netten and UCL Prof. John Jerrim.
